Api gravity of crude oil condensate

Condensate is a very light hydrocarbon with an American Petroleum Institute (API) specific gravity of greater than 50 degrees and less than 80 degrees. In underground formations condensate can exist separately from the crude oil or dissolved in the crude oil.

26 Aug 2019 Any oil with an API gravity below 22 is considered “heavy oil. It's among the world's heaviest types of crude oil in production. Without condensates to act as a diluent, the transportation of the tar sands heavy oil via pipeline  18 Dec 2019 Furthermore, the availability of condensates based on natural gas Thus, light crude oils with API gravity between 35 and 42 have also been  3 Jan 2019 Increased lighter crude production from west Texas and New Mexico has with 45˚-47.9˚API gravity — falling between WTI and condensate. 10 Aug 2012 each adjusted for American Petroleum Institute (API) gravity for merchantable qualit) virgin crude oil and condensate delivered for its account

18 Feb 2014 API Gravity, Sulfur Content, and TAN for Crude Oils Produced or Moved with any associated natural gas liquids (analogous to condensate).

API gravity express the gravity or density of liquid petroleum products. of crude oil; extra heavy oil (bitumen), heavy oil, medium oil, light oil, condensate. 5 Oct 2015 On the other hand, lease condensates with a lower API gravity are a black or near black color, like crude oil, have higher concentrations of  Oil gravity is usually 40° API or higher and increases during production after the bubble Crude Oil Treating Systems Determine the oil specific gravity. with increasing depth, pass down into light oils, condensate, and finally gas, until the  A low-density, high-API gravity liquid hydrocarbon phase that generally occurs in association with natural gas. Its presence as a liquid phase depends on  crude oil and condensate may be measured and tested, before transfer of custody to [W] (3) the gravity of the Petroleum is less than twenty (20) degrees API or  After decades of decline, crude oil production in the United States has recently been increasing specific gravity of crude oil or condensate. The higher the API

The arbitrary formula used to obtain it is: API gravity = (141.5/SG at 60°F) -131.5, where SG is the specific gravity of the fluid. Lighter the crude, higher the API
